| ORIGINAL GURU FITNESS WORKSHOPS! Pilates Core Basics Learn the principles and beginning level exercises of Pilates for adding to your current group fitness classes such as cardio, sculpting, and core classes as well as one-on-one client sessions. You'll learn goals of each exercise, cueing, modifications, progressions and hands-on corrections. 5 hours. CECs: ACE: .5 AFAA: 3.5 Resist-a-Ball® Knockout: Experience the Resist-a-Ball® as a training tool for cardio kickboxing classes. Learn how the ball becomes an aid to learn technique, an intensifier for aerobic/anaerobic drills, a target for partner technique and skills work, and an effective strengthening tool to complement individual or group kickboxing workouts. This workshop covers technique, cueing, modifications, progressions, individual and partner training. CECs: ACE/ACSM/NDEITA: .3 AFAA: 2.25 Hard Core Training: This course will be hands-on combining lecture with practical training throughout the workshop. Participants will learn exercises/movement patters for improving the strength, stability, and function of the core musculature; how to cue, modify and progress each exercise; principles of balance training and proprioception; and appropriate flexibility of the core. Equipment used includes the Resist-a-Ball®, Medicine Balls, Foam Rollers and Tubing and includes both individual and partner work. CECs: ACE/ACSM/NDEITA: .3 AFAA: 2.25
