According to a poll or Top Personal Trainers by IDEA Personal Trainer Magazine (5-03) in "Tricks of the Trade" - when asked 'what equipment do you consider essential for trainers to use with clients' ALL the trainers quoted included the Resist-a-Ball as one of their top tools. That goes to show: You can't beat the versatility and effectiveness of training with the Resist-a-Ball!

FEATURED RAB MOVE: Supine Elevated Leg Curl (focus: hamstrings).  Lay on back, with calves and heels on top of ball.  Keep knees and toes pointed straight up at ceiling and arms on floor, out from torso at 45 degrees.  Contract both glutes and lift hips and spine off floor until resting between the shoulder blades,  Use legs to pull ball in toward your hips, then roll ball back out - control the speed.  Keep the hips high for more challenge and effeciveness.

ADDITIONAL CHALLENGES:  Pull arms in close to the sides off the floor for more balance challenge OR go to only 1 leg at a time on ball.

S.A.F.E. with Resist-A-Ball (Seniors and FUNctional Exercise) events will be presented at Fit in the City in St. Louis, MO in 2004 and Sioux Falls, SD 2004.
