YES Training is a unique workout combining flow yoga with strength training. It is designed to be used in a class setting and one-on-one in a personal training setting. It brings the mindfulness and awareness of yoga to strength training, thus increasing training results. YES Training creates a slower-paced setting for strength training, taking the speed and momentum away that often results in poor form. It links the breath and concentration, the awareness of mind and body to create muscle awareness and successful strength training. YES Training flows poses that stretch and open the body in between strengthening poses to create a balanced strength workout. YES Training is the perfect answer for our busy clients. Fusing two fitness modalities saves time for those who have very little of it! Get the benefit of two workouts in one awesome class. YES Training uses a yoga mat (recommended) and two sets of dumbbells or body bars. Participants are encouraged to go through the class without the weights if they are new to yoga, and add the weights as they become more comfortable with the poses. Hands-on correcting and spotting techniques are also used. |
